A country wedding in Central Queensland - H&J
Its not often you get the chance to work with one of the BEST photographers in the wedding industry, so when an opportunity came up to work with Edwina Robertson only a few hours from home, I jumped at the chance. Eddy has been at the top of her game for a decade now, and is in demand, especially for outback, remote country weddings even earning the offical title 'Queen of the Dust'. I can see why, Witnessing Edwina do her thing, which came second nature to her, was amazing - I got to stand back and observe and look for my own moments, adding my own twist to how an wedding should be remembered and documented.
I feel like I got double bubble (mining slang, if youre not aware for double time/pay) as also capturing the day were Short Flix Media a couple who I have long admired for their wedding videography work, their short films are amazing and their knowledge and professionalism exceptional. Getting to watch this duo work was such a bonus for me, and to be a small part of this team, was an honor.
I can also highly recommend make up artist Bethany Prickett if you are in Emerald or surrounds she is one of the best, in everyway!
The wedding was set on a beautiful property located in Comet, endless paddocks and views for days made this family property an iconic location, and the day filled with meaning, emotion and lifelong connections. The reception shed was the ultimate, the helicopters and farm machinery were impressive, above all the digger with a bucket filled with ice and beer topped it all off - or maybe it was the fireworks at the end of the night?! Either way, this magic outback Queensland property, the wedding party, guests and all of the little moments made for an epic day of celebrations. Congratulations to Hollie and Jono and thank you to Edwina for this opportunity.
