A Rural Queensland Wedding Day

Location: Gemfields Property and Emerald Ag-Gro Woolshed

I first met G&B for their engagement session, held in the Isaac Region on top of a hill with views for

days over Central Queensland iconic landscapes of farm, property and mining. We had such a fun

easy going session, watching the sunset and captured some amazing images to mark their

engagement. This couple were so genuine, down to earth and just beautiful souls and I was so honored when they then asked me to then capture their wedding day, which I did, and what a day it was!

I only have one word to describe this day – Epic!

It was full of laughter, fun and love. I spent the morning with the Bride getting ready, my second photographer Alyce Holzy Photography, was with the groom. The Groom and his best man arrived in style via Helicopter and G & B had a ‘First Look’ –

I had never considered this option, but what an amazing way to spend more of your wedding day

together, there was something special about the anticipation from us all of the groom’s arrival and

the extra moments this allowed the bride and groom to have, before the formalities, partying and

guests took their attention. The celebrations then got underway, with the bridal party taking off to

get photos around the Brides family property, described by G&B as a ‘piece of paradise’ it is such

special place for them. The excitement level was high, even more so when we took the helicopter

back to the ceremony and reception venue, The Woolshed, Emerald.

A beautiful ceremony full of heart felt speeches and incredible moments was soon followed by a

party like no other. You can feel the hype of the night in the images from the night, expertly

captured by Alyce and the genuine love, down to earth, and just amazing humans that G&B both are

in their sunset photos, captured in the beauty of the Emerald Woolshed grounds. This was a highlight of the

day for me, just myself, G&B and the setting sun, a moment to think back over the day and marvel at

how amazing it all had been. The best part of this short break away was the newlyweds got to be just

on their own (plus me!) to really take a moment together now officially as a Mr and Mrs.

Alyce and I were so privileged to work together to provide the best photographic experience to this

couple - Congratulations G&B!
