The best kept secret in The Whitsundays is....
Coral beach - locals love it, travellers are glad when they find it. A short 10-15 minute walk in from a small carpark off Shute Harbour, this magical little spot is a must visit. From the car park its an easy walk along a dirt track, its shaded most of the way and suitable for the whole family. Awaiting you at the end is this beautiful beach to explore, rocks, coral and all sorts of treasures can be found along the beach, crystal aqua water to gaze out at (swimming not recommended) and cool trees, vegetation and wild life to spot. We spent an hour or so here and would have stayed longer but ran out of snacks. The best time to visit is winter for sunshine days and pleasant temperatures but worth a visit year round. We have visited the region many times but this was our first time to Coral Beach, and we will be back.
